Analisis Framing Pemberitaan Polisi Tembak Siswa SMK di Semarang pada Media Online Tempo.co

This research aims to find out how Tempo.co media framed the news of police shooting vocational students in Semarang during November 26-December 31, 2024. In this research, the constructivism paradigm is used with a qualitative research type with a descriptive-interpretive approach and uses Robert N, Entman’s framing analysis model, which includes four stages: Define problems, Diagnose cause, Make moral Judgment, and Treatment recommendation. The results showed that define problems Tempo.co was more pro-victim and pro-truth, this can be seen from Tempo.co’s reporting which showed perspectives from various parties to monitor the development of this case. Diagnose causes, where in this case Tempo.co emphasizes various facts from various parties. Make moral judgment, here Tempo.co mostly assesses the police’s lack of performance in solving this case. Treatment recommendation, Tempo.co suggests the importance of change and improvement within the Police so that the movement of law can run fairly and not be selective.
