Resolusi Etika Komunikasi Berbasis Swastika: Formulasi Konseptual dalam Komunikasi Hindu Kontemporer

This study addresses the growing ethical challenges in contemporary communication, particularly within digital spaces, by proposing a culturally grounded framework derived from Hindu symbolic philosophy. While the swastika is widely recognized within Hindu tradition as a symbol of harmony, balance, and auspiciousness, its potential as a model for communication ethics remains underexplored. The purpose of this research is to formulate a conceptual model of communication ethics based on the philosophical meanings of the swastika in contemporary Hindu communication. This study employs a qualitative approach using hermeneutic analysis and literature review to interpret the symbolic and philosophical dimensions of the swastika. The findings reveal that the swastika can be conceptualized into four core ethical principles: truth (satya), goodness (siwam), harmony (sundaram), and responsibility (dharma), which collectively form a holistic framework for ethical communication. This model is relevant for guiding communicative practices in both traditional and digital contexts, promoting balanced, respectful, and responsible interactions. The study concludes that integrating local wisdom into communication ethics offers a meaningful contribution to contemporary communication studies and recommends further empirical research to validate and apply this model in real-world communication practices.
